Elle’s Avian Essentials Kit for Large Parrots

Elle’s Avian Essentials kits contain everything you need to set up your parrot’s cage for an enriched, healthy life. The large bird kit is perfect for large parrots like Amazons, African grays, golden conures and other large conures, eclectus, mini macaws, smaller cockatoos and similar sized birds. It may also be suitable for large cockatoos and macaws, but some of the perches might need to be thicker for these x-large birds. Send us an email from the Contact page with your bird species. The large kit ships in a very large and heavy box of over 20 pounds weight.

Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico: $70 by USPS Priority Mail.

Canada: UPS Expedited $85. Average delivery time 10 to 15 days from placing an order.

UK and EU: USPS Express International (EMS) $150. Average delivery 10 to 15 days from placing an order.

Anywhere else in the world: USPS Express International (EMS) $185 to most countries. Average delivery 10 to 20 days anywhere in the world.

International customers: we currently ship by USPS Express International (EMS) mail only. Express mail is highly reliable and takes less than 2 weeks anywhere in the world. Non-express options, while less expensive, have become unreliable since the pandemic and associated shipping disruptions. But EMS has been extremely reliable all over the world (we have not lost a single package).

Australian and New Zealand customers: We are now able to ship modified kits to Australia and New Zealand. Due to customs regulations prohibiting importation of some natural wood products with bark such as our natural wood perches and some of the toys containing natural wood, we replace some of the items in regular kits listed on the website with replacements.

We can ship to most countries. Just load the kit in your shopping cart and see a shipping quote. If shipping to your country is currently not enabled, please send us an inquiry from the Contact page with your country and the kit size you’d like to purchase (small, medium, large) and we will investigate shipping options and cost and enabled the shipping.

Perches

Birds spend most of the time on their feet, so finding the right perches is critical to a parrot’s well-being. Perches that are made from natural wood offer irregular surface areas and variable thickness along the length of the branch, which is necessary to help your bird maintain optimal foot health.

Natural wood perches are both durable and easy to clean.

Stainless Steel Bowls with Holders

The kit offers three stainless steel bowls – one for water, a second for pellets and seeds, and the third for moist foods like cooked grains, fruits and vegetables. Stainless steel is much more sanitary than plastic containers, which typically come with cages but can harbor bacteria.

The bowls are 10 oz and come with their own ring for hanging on the horizontal bars in bird cages.

Ladders

Each kit is equipped with two types of ladders. Ladders are important for encouraging your birds to climb and more fully utilize their cage space.

Toys

This kit is designed to provide your bird with a large variety of toys. Toys are essential for any parrot’s wellbeing, as parrots are built to chew, shred, and forage. Toys keep birds’ intelligent minds occupied and give them activities to do when you can’t be there with them. Without enough toys to keep them stimulated, many birds resort to chewing things that aren’t appropriate, like your new couch. In the kit you’ll find toys of all different shapes, sizes, and materials to offer maximum enrichment.
